Your London Guaranteed Rent Specialists

Did your tenants vote for Britain to remain in the EU or were they disappointed by the result of yesterday’s once-in-a-lifetime referendum?

Debate about Britain’s role in Europe is sure to continue for many years to come, but you might be surprised to learn that an increasingly large proportion of tenants in the private rented sector have more in common with their landlords than ever before.

Time to vote for home-grown family fun

According to a study by the National Landlords Association, 48% of rental homes are now let to families with children – a shade higher than the 47% of rental homes let to young couples.

This means your tenants could be more likely to be preparing for a trip to the seaside with their children than be making their way back to London having coped with “the worst mud ever” at Glastonbury.

If putting up deckchairs and building sandcastles leaves you cold, here are three family-friendly summer activities in London where landlords could meet their tenants….

Make a splash

Brockwell Lido is found in a Grade II-listed Art Deco building at the heart of Brockwell Park, near Brixton, Dulwich and Herne Hill. The Olympic-size 50 metre outdoor pool also features an award-winning café.

Alternatively, why not try nearby Tooting Bec Lido? At 90m long, this is the largest freshwater open air pool in England. Flanked by primary-coloured changing cubicles, it’s over 100 years old and as the base for the South London Swimming Club is the home of cold-water swimming in the UK.

Get closer to nature…

Visitors to the Natural History Museum’s butterfly house – found on the east lawn of the South Kensington landmark – will come face-to-face with tropical butterflies from Africa, Asia and North and South America. This attraction, which is open until 11 September, includes games, activities and challenges that teach children about the sensory world of caterpillars, moths and butterflies.

…Or creative in the City

Venture into the Square Mile on 23 and 24 July for the annual Archikids Festival, which will see some of the City’s most iconic buildings open to families for workshops and activities that will help children aged between five and 11 explore aspects of design and construction. Programme highlights include hat-making workshops and catwalks, inflatable car building, Lego building races and the chance to create crazy structures using food.
